The salesman pointed out to us that we missed the warp zone as we ran toward the exit tunnel. I particularly remember when I was at a kiosk in a mall where one could play through Mario and buy Nintendo related products. Growing up, I never met anyone who knew about these levels but they have become more widely known with the advent and widespread use of the World Wide Web. There are, however, a number of additional secret levels that exist in the original Super Mario Bros game that exist as part of the “negative world”. Most people, if not all, know about the warp shortcuts that could be found in the first underground level at world 1-2 and throughout the game. All are familiar with the classic Italian plumber game as it gave unprecedented control over the gaming experience compared to its predecessors. I posted this because, once I saw a TAS of "Extra Mario Bros." on the channel and thought to submit it because it is also pretty speedrunned hack.As a child in the 90’s I had the great pleasure of being introduced to the Nintendo entertainment system by my older brothers. I used TAS Studio, RAM Watch for making it and FFMPEG extension for encoding in 2K (4:3). I had just beaten all the levels as soon as possible, and there is no warp in this category, also the aim is to touch the flagpole of " -3", after -3, nothing loads for some reason. It is called so because there is no world number in it's name " -1".Īnd please don't say that I've wasted time by backwards jumping because it isn't. In this run, I've clipped through the wall of 1-2 and got into the pipe before the text "2","3", or "4" appears above them to reach a messy world called minus world. I found it in an archive for BizHawk firmware archive. The BIOS I used was the "FDS_disksys-nintendo.rom". I created this in BizHawk 2.6.2 with TAS Studio. in which the minus world has been extended by placing a flagpole at the end which auto generates random levels. Hi ! Its Mr.TASer, and I've created a TAS of the rom hack Super Mario Bros.
